The Client: Core Home (parent company to several labels including Core Home, Core Bamboo, Manna, Tal, Brooklyn Steel, Thyme & Table, and many private labels).
The Project: I was brought in by a consumer goods company to help meet their needs for their visuals department. Quickly growing, they needed help keeping up with their image demands for online commerce in addition to traditional B2B needs. They also needed help with their branding and visual assets for each line. Previously they had hired a freelancer to shoot once every two months.
The Results: Although a quite large company with revenue well over 50 million usd, they were new to working with an in-house photographer. I helped them build out their own photography studio, this included purchasing all equipment needed, as well as build out a props closet, and set up a digital workflow. In a daily capacity, I was singularly responsible for creative direction, working within broad strokes outlined by third party vendors or in-house graphic designers. I shot and styled all shoots, as well as handled the post editing. Shoots ranged from silos to flat-lays to lifestyle, on volume of 50 finished deliverables in a day, often with a very tight turn-around. Initially intended as a part-time short-term opportunity, I worked nearly full-time over the course of two years with their team.
Why Me: I have an ability to function as an all in one studio. I have experience in food that helps me to understand the product intimately. I also am completely self-sufficient and able to respond agilely to asks. I am organized and efficient at handling all stages of a life cycle of a project.
