The Client: Pinch Food Design
The Project: As a start-up catering company, with a unique emphasis on design as much as food, Pinch needed a photographer who could capture their food and design, as a crucial part of their concept.
The Results: Before they launched, I spent two months in-house with the team, documenting every thing they made. I also helped them budget and build-out an in-house set to shoot regularly. As a long-term client, I work collaboratively with the team to create visual images that set them apart, and that are associated with their brand. This feels especially important as they are a company who puts as much emphasis on design as on food (there’s no party quite like a Pinch party), and shooting for them is as much about showcasing the beautiful design as the food. In addition to being a crucial part of their client presentations, these images have also been used on third party websites, and in their cookbook. I have continued to shoot with them over 10 years, as they have grown into one of the lead New York City caterers.
Why Me: Because I love tah-dig (and know how to cook it), no really, I still believe that was the question that made us fast friends and life-long collaborators.
