I’ve been making ceramics in some form almost as long as I’ve been shooting. Growing up, my grandmother had a kiln and I passed many an afternoon at her kitchen table making pieces. I still have a chess set I treasure that was a collaboration between my grandparents and I; Grandma and I making the knights and pawns and my grandfather (a carpenter and photographer) customizing the board to match the colors in the set, a vibrant teal and blue. My work these days is a combination of handbuilt and wheel thrown in my studio in Red Hook, with my pup by my side. Some pieces on offer below, always happy to make any on commission.

Part of my continuing experiment in sgrafitto, this little one is primed to hold the most lovely variegated string of pearls, or perhaps the red congo of your dreams, I’ve found a bit of closed lip helps mine thrive.
