I’ve been making ceramics in some form almost as long as I’ve been shooting. Growing up, my grandmother had a kiln and I passed many an afternoon at her kitchen table making pieces. I still have a chess set I treasure that was a collaboration between my grandparents and I; Grandma and I making the knights and pawns and my grandfather (a carpenter and photographer) customizing the board to match the colors in the set, a vibrant teal and blue. My work these days is a combination of handbuilt and wheel thrown in my studio in Red Hook, with my pup by my side. Some pieces on offer below, always happy to make any on commission.
Featured in the New York Times Gift Guide in 2023, DesignMilk’s 2022 Gift Guide, and my pieces frequent many other publications, including the New York Times, Domino Mag, and NYTCooking.
All pieces are handmade to order, although I keep a light inventory. Expect at least 6 weeks to ship, but orders do often ship faster. More answers to some common questions here.
