A Tortilla Holder
A Tortilla Holder
Where to begin? I’m from South Texas, a place that holds tortillas (specifically flour tortillas) and their holders near and dear to the heart. Nothing warms my soul like a warm tortilla with a pat of butter melted into the folds (looking for a recipe? The NYTimes Sonora flour tortillas do me right every time). If you’re lucky, you’ll have some Alamo Cafe queso on hand, or some you’ve made on your own. Fully glazed, inside and out, line her with a soft kitchen towel, and place those beauties in her fresh off the griddle. She is equally happy to hold flour and corn; fresh, or store-bought. Pitas will also be quite lovely, or some fresh rice, truly most anything you want to keep warm for a bit, there’s no ends of uses for this special one.
Which is to say, I love this little warmer with my whole heart. If you feel like I do, but want one in a different color combination, please don’t hesitate to say.
