I’ve been making ceramics in some form almost as long as I’ve been shooting. Growing up, my grandmother had a kiln and I passed many an afternoon at her kitchen table making pieces. I still have a chess set I treasure that was a collaboration between my grandparents and I; Grandma and I making the knights and pawns and my grandfather (a carpenter and photographer) customizing the board to match the colors in the set, a vibrant teal and blue. My work these days is a combination of handbuilt and wheel thrown in my studio in Red Hook, with my pup by my side. Some pieces on offer below, always happy to make any on commission.

A Planter {009}

I’ll admit, I’m a little scared to give these guys a name for fear of running out, so we’re just gonna run with a basic number system. Pieces I’ve been hand building following the form clay wants to be. Then decorated in a layering of glazes and sgraffito that makes my heart so happy. I hope you’ll love them like I do. This one has a home, but you’ll be getting one with similar dimensions and vibes.
