I’ve been making ceramics in some form almost as long as I’ve been shooting. Growing up, my grandmother had a kiln and I passed many an afternoon at her kitchen table making pieces. I still have a chess set I treasure that was a collaboration between my grandparents and I; Grandma and I making the knights and pawns and my grandfather (a carpenter and photographer) customizing the board to match the colors in the set, a vibrant teal and blue. My work these days is a combination of handbuilt and wheel thrown in my studio in Red Hook, with my pup by my side. Some pieces on offer below, always happy to make any on commission.

Red, for your Cortado

A smaller version of the Buff, but the first I made. I’m really in love with the way these guys sit in your hand. They are great for a cortado, or a flat white. But also, I love them as a sipping cup, perhaps for a nice chilled limoncello. It’s lovely the way it holds both hot, and cold.
